    DUTY STATION: ACB Headquarters, Los Baños, Laguna, Philippines
    REPORTING TO: General Services Officer

    TERMS OF REFERENCE

    A. BACKGROUND

    The ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), established in 2005, is ASEAN’s response to the challenge of biodiversity loss. It is an intergovernmental organisation that facilitates cooperation and coordination among the 10 ASEAN Member States (AMS) and with regional and international organisations on the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity, and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the use of such natural treasures.

    The ACB is seeking a dependable driver who will be accountable to the General Services Officer.

    B. SCOPE OF DUTIES

    Under the General Services Division of the Finance and Administration Department and supervised by the General Services Officer, the Driver will perform the following:

    1. Safely operate ACB’s vehicles for the transportation of personnel, guests, documents, and equipment
    2. Ensure vehicle is properly maintained, clean, and roadworthy at all times
    3. Monitor routine maintenance schedules (e.g. oil changes, brake checks, tire rotation)
    4. Comply with traffic laws and ACB policies while driving
    5. Maintain an accurate log of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition
    6. Assist with the loading and unloading of items as necessary
    7. Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedules, routes, and changes
    8. Provide courteous assistance to employees and guests during transportation
    9. Conduct basic troubleshooting in case of vehicle issues and report any incident promptly
    10. Keep vehicle documents (registration, insurance, permits) up to date
    11. Monitor requests for e-pass reload
    12. Facilitate the renewal of registration of the assigned ACB vehicle with the concerned government offices
    13. Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor(s) from time to time

    C. QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Work Experience
    ● At least two (2) years in college or completion of a vocational course, or Senior High School Graduate, with five (5) years related work experience or its equivalent:
    ● TESDA on Driving NC II or Certificate of Competency and 10 years of relevant work experience
    Eligibility/Licenses
    ● Must possess a professional driver’s license
    Skills
    ● Strong driving skills and familiarity with traffic rules and routes
    ● Time management and reliability in meeting deadlines
    ● Thorough knowledge of preferred routes and heavy traffic patterns
    ● Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required
    ● Attention to detail in repair work and driving
    ● Physical resilience to handle demanding tasks
    ● Problem-solving abilities for maintenance and operational issues
    ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    ● Commitment to safety and professionalism
    ● Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate dependability
