About ACB

Vision

ACB will function as a regional centre of excellence that will provide scientific/thematic networking and coordination on biodiversity issues within ASEAN, and between the region and the international scientific community.

Mission

The ACB will be a fully sustainable institution and continue to contribute to environmental sustainability in the ASEAN region through the use of effective approaches to biodiversity conservation, and promote stakeholder participation, empowerment of groups that are local to biodiverse landscapes and seascapes, community involvement in environmental decision making, and the fair equitable distribution of benefits arising from biodiversity. The work of the ACB will promote gender equality and good governance, and mitigate avoidable causes of poverty.
